Today, 18 November 2020, is the European Day on the protection of children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse. On this occasion, Bruce Adamson, ENOC Chair and Children and Young People’s Commissioner in Scotland, made a video statement stressing the importance of this day to place additional focus on training, dialogue and legal structures that we need to protect children?

ENOC has worked collectively to ensure that European standards and European protections are effective for all children. For example, in 2015, ENOC issued a position statement on protecting children from violence stating that violence against children is never acceptable. Last year, ENOC worked on children’s rights in the digital environment and issued a position statement on this issue, focusing on the need to protect children in the digital world.
