ENOC 2024 Spring Seminar

3 - 4 June 2024

As part of its 2024 Annual work, ENOC has organised the first round of discussion on the issue of "The Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Children in Alternative Care" in the format of a working session on 3 June 2024. This event was part of the Spring Seminar held in Tallinn, Estonia on 3 – 4 June 2024.

Day 1 of the Seminar provided ENOC members with the opportunity to share knowledge and experience on the issue during a learning café. On the same occasion, the ENOC 2024 experts, Prof. Emerita Tarja Pösö, from the University of Tampere and Terhi Tuukkanen, Senior researcher at the Ombudsman for Children’s Office in Finland, presented the preliminary findings of the ENOC mapping survey on the same theme.

Day 2 of the Seminar was devoted to this year’s rights of children affected by Parental Imprisonment, with an intervention of Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE), followed by sharing good practices and experience of Ombudspersons for Children’s Office.
