ENOC ad-hoc Position Statement on “Children in Gaza must be protected at all costs and their rights restored. An Urgent Call to Uphold International Law”
August 2025
The European Network of Ombudspersons for Children (ENOC) adopted an ad-hoc position statement titled “Children in Gaza must be protected at all costs and their rights restored. An Urgent Call to Uphold International Law.”
ENOC expresses its deep concern over the unprecedented and ongoing violations of children’s rights in Gaza. It highlights the extreme humanitarian crisis facing children, including widespread malnutrition, lack of access to medical care, destruction of schools and hospitals, and the psychological trauma caused by continuous bombardment and displacement.
ENOC calls on all national governments, the European Union, the United Nations, and relevant international bodies to take immediate, coordinated, and effective action, including a ceasefire, safe access to humanitarian aid, and the protection and restoration of children’s rights under international law.
