ENYA Forum 2025: Young Advisors debate children's right to Physical Health

As part of the ENYA (European Network of Young Advisors) child participation project 2025, young people from across Europe have been actively engaging with this year’s ENOC annual theme: “Children’s Right to Physical Health.”

The 14 participating ENYA teams represented Andalusia/Spain, Basque Country/Spain, Catalonia/Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Northern Ireland/UK, Poland, Slovakia, Scotland/UK, and Ukraine.

From March to June 2025, young participants organised and took part in activities on the annual theme, including discussions with experts, peer exchanges, and interactive workshops. These national activities were designed to empower young people to develop informed opinions and to express their experiences in a safe and inclusive environment.

Based on these exchanges, each ENYA team drafted up to five action-oriented recommendations on how to better safeguard and promote children’s right to physical health.

The national recommendations were then brought together at the ENYA Forum 2025, held on 1-2 July in Jezerčica, Croatia, hosted by the Office of the Ombudsman for Children in Croatia. The ENOC Secretariat, together with several members of the ENOC Bureau, including the ENOC Chair (Finland), Chair-elect (Moldova), Past-Chair (Belgium/Flanders), ordinary members (Catalonia/Spain and Ireland), and the Ombudsperson for Children in Montenegro, also participated in the Forum.

During the event, the Young Advisors discussed, prioritised, and voted on the final set of recommendations. These will be presented to the network of Ombudspersons for Children at the ENOC 29th Annual Conference on 17-18 September 2025 in Bucharest, Romania.
