ENYA to Explore Ways to Strengthen the Protection and Promotion of Children’s Right to Physical Health

As part of the 2025 ENYA (European Network of Young Advisors) child participation project, young people from across Europe have been actively engaging with ENOC’s annual theme: The Protection and Promotion of Children’s Right to Physical Health.

This year, 14 teams are taking part in the project, representing Andalusia, the Basque Country, and Catalonia (Spain), as well as Croatia, Cyprus, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Northern Ireland (UK), Poland, Slovakia, Scotland (UK), and Ukraine.

Between February and June 2025, each ENYA team organised a range of activities linked to the theme, including discussions with experts and other relevant stakeholders. These national-level activities aimed to support children and young people in forming and expressing their views in a safe, inclusive space. Based on their experiences, each team developed up to five action-oriented recommendations to help improve the protection and promotion of children’s right to physical health.

These recommendations will be brought together and further discussed during the ENYA 2025 Forum, held on 1–2 July in Croatia and hosted by the Office of the Ombudsperson for Children in Croatia. The event will gather children and young people, ENOC members, the ENOC Secretariat, the ENOC Chair (Finland), the Chair-elect (Moldova), and other Ombudspersons for Children.

More updates to follow soon.
